Reclaimed satin handbag with shell embellishment

This small collection has been created from a desire to celebrate existing resources, with a considered & reverent approach.
Reclaimed & deadstock fabric has been reimagined, with Palmworks signature colour ways & material combinations serving as a guiding thread that runs through the collection.
I’ve created each bag with the material guiding the final outcome : waxed cotton lends itself to everyday wear, whilst satin is the ideal material to take a bag from day to evening. Some bags have been embellished, some have been left as they are. All have been made slowly, by hand.

Materials:
Outer material : reclaimed satin fabric (material from the interiors industry)
Lining material : reclaimed satin from same source
Embellishment : a shell reworked from a vintage necklace
This is the only bag I have made with this combination of materials, making it completely unique.

Width across bottom of bag : 35cm
Height, bottom to middle of bag : 18cm
Length of strap : 13cm

Each bag comes with an interior Palmworks label which is made of cotton.
This bag is designed to be carried by hand, but can also has the potential to be worn over one shoulder - please note the listed dimensions to gauge strap measurement over the shoulder.
